How long are final exams at UNLV?
Please check MyUNLV for actual time and placement of final exams after the third week of the semester. *Final examinations are scheduled to be two hours long. Classes with meeting patterns other than those shown may be subject to having their final examination date and/or time adjusted depending on space availability.
When is the commencement ceremony at UNLV?
Students whose degrees are conferred in August may participate in the following December’s commencement ceremony. Independence Day recess. The UNLV campus will be closed for the Independence Day holiday and will reopen Wednesday, July 5. Instruction ends for summer session II.
How long is the final exam for each quarter?

Is UNLV closed for Memorial Day?
The UNLV campus will be closed for the Memorial Day holiday and will reopen Tuesday, May 30. Grades due for summer session I classes. Summer session II instruction begins. Last day to drop summer session II classes without a W grade. Last day to drop summer session II classes with a W grade.

How to schedule a final exam?
In the event that you are scheduled to take three or more final examinations in one day during the final exam week, you may: 1 Take all final examinations as scheduled. 2 Consult with instructors and/or departments giving the final examinations to determine if a make-up final examination is or can be scheduled within the Final Exam Week. 3 If, and only if, no make-up final examination is available, you must give notice in writing to the instructor (s) or department (s) of the third and subsequent final examination that is scheduled to meet within one day. Such notification must be made to the instructor (s) or department (s), as noted above, before the end of the twelfth week of classes. The instructor (s) of the third and subsequent final examination is (are) then obligated to provide an alternative final examination time during Final Exam Week. The instructor is responsible for finding the space for conducting the alternate final examination.
When will mini courses be examined?
Mini-courses will be examined on the last meeting day of the course.
