Starpower began as an eleven city tour with one National Championship and has continued to grow, keeping its status as one of the largest talent competitions in America. Starpower's stages host tens of thousands of performers of all ages from coast to coast and has even expanded throughout the world!

What is Nationals dance competition?
Our National Dance Competitions are a celebration of dance where performers will get a chance to make new friends from around the country, compete for top CASH prizes, perform on our National Dance Team, and learn from some of the best dance professionals in the industry.

Because there is no overarching governing body of dance competitions, there are hundreds if not thousands of different companies holding dance competitions all over the globe.
How do you qualify for nationals in dance?
All National Finals entries must have been previously qualified at a regional competition or the last chance preliminary. In order to compete at National Finals, routines must have earned, at a minimum, a High Silver adjudication.
What is the difference between a regional and national dance competition?
Nationals are almost always based in large cities, which can mean long travel times and overnight accommodations. Regional competitions, on the other hand, are usually held in scores of smaller cities, making finding one near your hometown pretty easy.
