Who Competes at the Rodeo?
The San Antonio Rodeo is sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and the Women's Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA).
Rodeo Action Begins: Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022
At the 2022 Rodeo, come see 19 PRCA Rodeo performances followed by entertainment along with special rodeo performances on specific nights - Noche Del Vaquero*, Ranch Rodeo** and Xtreme Bulls. Doors open 90 minutes prior to each performance.
Rodeo Format
Our tournament-style format includes 19 PRCA rodeo performances where contestants compete back to back in each Bracket. The top four (4) money winners advance to a Semifinal Round and the top five (5) out of each Semifinal advance to the Finals. The most money earned at the end of the Finals will be crowned the San Antonio Rodeo Champion!
Rodeo Wildcard
On Saturday, February 26 at 1:00 PM, the 10 contestants in each event who did not advance to the Finals from the Semifinal will have one more chance to make it into the Finals. The highest score and fastest time wins!
