What is Moon Tunes of La Crosse?
Moon Tunes of La Crosse is a Valley Rotary Project bringing free concerts to Riverside Park most Thursdays, in the summer, from 5:30 to 8:00pm. When will Moon Tunes start in Riverside Park?
The Thursday night Moon Tunes concerts in Riverside Park will begin in three weeks. Terry Bauer has been an organizer of Moon Tunes from the beginning in 2012. He says 20 new acts will be featured this year, along with many repeat performers and a couple of Irish acts will play just before Irishfest in August.
What are Moonmoon tunes?
Moon Tunes began as a series of midday concerts during the summer, originally called Noon Tunes. They shifted to evenings after the first three years. The entire Moon Tunes schedule for 2020 was cancelled because of COVID-19, but the concerts came back last year with livestreaming available. That is not planned for this year, so far.
Why donate to Moon Tunes?
Crowds at Moon Tunes are super-generous when the hat is passed! Donations over five years contributed $95,000 to the new bandshell and paid for the renovations of the north bathroom. Funds in Summer 2022 will be used to refurbish the south bathroom.
