All Trash must be placed inside your Town issued cart ONLY! The lid must close and cart handles should face your house and be 4 feet away from mailboxes, parked cars, poles, etc.

The Highway Department picks up brush on almost a daily basis, year round and weather permitting. Branches are to be placed with ends pointing toward the street and piled as neatly as possible. Brush is usually picked up on a weekly basis by the Hi-lift.

The Highway Department offers installation of roadside culvert pipe. The Highway Department will install and back fill the area at no cost to the homeowner. All materials, topsoil and seeding are the responsibility of the homeowner.

The Highway Department is responsible for picking up dead animals on all Town Roads and small animals on County Roads. The Erie County Highway Department will only pick up deer on County-owned roadways. Please refer to the listings of all County-owned and State-owned roads below.

Where to pick up chipped brush?
Chippable Brush, like branches and hedge clippings, are collected by Town (683-3426) or Village DPW (683-1028). Leaf pickup depends on Town and Village schedules - no notification necessary. Leaves should be raked to the curb or road.
