Minnesota will play its first five games of the 2022 season at home as it faces New Mexico State (Sept. 1), Western Illinois (Sept. 10), Colorado (Sept. 17), Iowa (Sept. 24) and Rutgers (Oct. 1). The last time the Gophers opened the season with five straight homes games was 1933.
