Yard waste includes leaves, grass clippings, weeds, bushes and tree branches. Tree limbs are accepted for compost material if cut, bundled, and tied. Bundles shall consist of bushes and tree branches not more than 3 inches in diameter, 4 feet in length, and shall not be bound in more than 35 lbs. weight per bundle.
Can you put mixed trash in a can?
No bags or cans with mixed trash and compost. The compost site may reject loads that contain trash.
Do you leave lids open on trash cans?
If carts or trash cans are used, then please leave lids open or off. Since pick up is the day after trash pick up, many residents will not have moved their trash cans from the day before and Best Way will not have the time to stop and check all carts for compost materials.
