Heavy Trash items include, but are not limited to, stoves, washers, dryers, furniture and other items with weights or volumes greater than those allowed for by approved containers.
Is microwave trash considered e-waste?
Microwaves are not considered e-waste at this time and are therefore acceptable as Heavy Trash. Some microwaves are small enough to fit in the toter and that is fine. If it’s a larger model - set it on the curb in plain sight.
How often is trash service provided in Speedway?
Trash is provided one time per week for residents within the Town of Speedway. Recycle service is provided every other week on the same day as trash service.
Is trash collected on New Year's Day?
Trash and Recycling will NOT be collected on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving or Christmas Day.
