The Vogel Holding family of businesses started over sixty years ago with Vogel Disposal Service. Founded by Edward L. and Margaret Vogel in 1958 with a single truck, Vogel Disposal has grown to become one of the largest independent providers of waste collection and disposal services in Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio.

How many dates does Vogel dispose of household waste?

When will Vogel pick up Christmas trees?
Vogel will be picking up Christmas trees through December and January at no extra cost. All decorations must be removed, and must be under 6′ tall, or cut into smaller pieces. Please do not place trees in plastic bags.

Leaf Collections include paper bagged leaves/shrubbery and BUNDLED tree trimmings (3” in diameter or less and no longer than 48”).

Does Richland Township have recycling?
Richland Township discovered that current market conditions would force all of the waste companies bidding on the contract to increase their fees for collecting recyclable materials from Township residents. In order to reduce costs, some items have been eliminated from recycling, and the collection of recyclables has changed from every week to every other week. The discontinuation of recycling glass as part of the bids was similar with all of the providers. The new contract does allow for changes in acceptable items should the markets improve.

Yard Waste Collection 2021
Green-top yard waste receptacles can be placed curbside beginning April 5, 2021 through December 15, 2021.
How long does it take to collect leaves in the fall?
LEAF COLLECTION: Curbside collection of bagged leaves 2 weeks during the spring and 4 weeks in the fall. Leaves must be put in biodegradable paper bags and placed at the curb on the regular collection day. Bio-degradable bags are available at building supply, hardware stores, and Amazon.
Is a service contract mandatory for all residents of one and two family dwellings?
Service under this contract is mandatory for all residents of one and two family dwellings.
Can you recycle needles?
No Needles (Keep medical waste out of recycling. Place in safe disposal containers like Waste Management MedWaste Tracker Box)
Level 1 Service
Residents will be billed every three months in advance of the service period. This service provides weekly solid waste collection for up to seven (7) 42-gallon containers or seven (7) 42 gallon plastic bags, every other week recycling collection, and one bulky waste item to be picked up in the first week of each month.
