How much does the UTRGV transportation system cost?
The system operates Monday through Friday when classes are in session. All routes operated by the University are FREE to UTRGV students, faculty, staff and the general public for use. What transportation is available to the Rio Grande City and VABL campuses?
Additional routes provide connectivity to the Rio Grande City campus and the VABL building in Edinburg. Transportation within the Brownsville and Edinburg campuses is provided through the VOLT electric cart service.
Does UTRGV have to comply with Title VI?
Title VI - As a subrecipient of Valley Metro for FTA funds, UTRGV must comply with Title VI requirements.
Is the complimentary shuttle bus refundable or redeemable?
The complimentary shuttle bus is not refundable, redeemable, or transferrable. The baggage allowance onboard the complimentary shuttle bus for each passenger is two pieces of checked baggage (maximum 62 linear inches in size and 50lbs per piece in weight) plus one carry-on bag (max dimensions 22x14x9 inches in size and 15 pounds in weight).

When does Knight Mover run?
During the Fall and Spring Semesters: The Knight Mover Service operates from 3:00 AM until 6:00 AM Monday through Thursday morning. New requests are not taken after 5:45 AM in order to be able to complete any pending requests before 6:00 AM when the normal morning Campus Bus service begins. The Knight Mover does not operate Friday through Sunday mornings as the normal Campus Bus service is running.
Do you have to pay for a bus ride?
You do not have to pay a fare to ride the bus.
Does Rutgers University have bus service?
Rutgers University does not provide bus service between Rutgers University New Brunswick , Rutgers University Cam den and Rutgers University Newark. The NJ Transit (NJT) “Northeast Corridor” trains provide frequent service between the New Brunswick and Newark train stations. A transfer to the NJT River Line service at the Trenton train station connects Camden to the “Northeast Corridor” trains.
