USTA Florida promotes, develops and supports programs for individuals with differing physical and/or mental abilities and circumstances , and encourage facilities to provide adaptive tennis opportunities in their communities. Our outreach includes collaboration with organizations who serve special populations, participation at state events and support to Adaptive tennis programs through grants. How old do you have to be to play in adult league?
Adult Leagues are for men and women 18 years of age or older, with Sectional Championship layers culminating in a chance to compete for a National Championship for most age brackets.
Is wheelchair tennis the same as tennis?
While the rules for wheelchair tennis may be slightly different, the game remains the same, regardless of whether you’re playing against another wheelchair tennis player or an able-bodied player.
Can you play Tri-Level with friends?
If you want to play with friends but are all at different NTRP levels or if you are having a hard time getting enough people together to form a team, Tri-Level is for you. Play doubles with your friends, while on a team consisting of 3 or more NTRP levels.
