The season runs from April to June, followed by the playoffs. FOX Sports will carry 22 of the 43 games, with 12 broadcast on FOX and 10 on FS1. All eight USFL teams are split between a North and South division. North Division: Michigan Panthers, New Jersey Generals, Philadelphia Stars and Pittsburgh Maulers.

that said, I think the XFL has a more solid foundation and proof that (if not for covid) they can get decent ratings. but the USFL has the advantage of starting a year earlier. we'll just have to see how they fare this year (and whether they can make it a whole season)
