How many classes is full time at UMGC?
Course Load For official data, full-time enrollment is defined as 12 or more credits per term and half-time as 6-11 credits per term. One course, or three credit hours during a session, is considered a normal course load for a student who is fully employed.

Full-time status in a 4-week term requires enrollment in at least three (3) credit hours. In no case may a student register for more than eighteen (18) credit hours in a 14-17 week term or six (6) credit hours in a 4-week term without written permission from the appropriate academic unit.

Academic Probation is defined as a term or cumulative GPA below 3.0. Academic Probation is applied at the point when the term or cumulative GPA drops below 3.0.
What is an FN grade?
The FN grade means a failure in the course because the student has ceased to attend and participate in course assignments and activities. It is assigned when the student ceases to attend class but has not officially withdrawn. The FN grade is treated as an F in calculating the grade-point average.
