How many classes is full time at UMGC?

Course Load For official data, full-time enrollment is defined as 12 or more credits per term and half-time as 6-11 credits per term. One course, or three credit hours during a session, is considered a normal course load for a student who is fully employed.

Failure: The Grade of F If you are assigned the grade of F, you must register again for the course, pay the applicable fees, repeat the course, and earn a passing grade to receive credit for that course.

Academic Probation is defined as a term or cumulative GPA below 3.0. Academic Probation is applied at the point when the term or cumulative GPA drops below 3.0.

What is an FN grade?

The FN grade means a failure in the course because the student has ceased to attend and participate in course assignments and activities. It is assigned when the student ceases to attend class but has not officially withdrawn. The FN grade is treated as an F in calculating the grade-point average.
