Is the Muny Express back for the 2022 season?
We are pleased to announce the Muny Express is back for the 2022 Muny season. MCT will have service to the Muny in Forest Park every Friday evening show of the 2022 season. Below is the schedule of shows served by MCT. Buses will arrive approximately 30 minutes prior to the show and drop passengers off directly in front of The Muny.

On Thursday night, Muny leaders announced a full seven-show season for 2022. It includes an encore presentation of a show cut short this past summer and two Muny premieres. Is Chicago coming back to the Muny in 2022?
The triumph of the 2021 Muny season returns! Audiences and critics went “Whoopee” for last season’s thrilling production of Chicago, and due to a rain-out and our early shutdown, we’re opening our 2022 season with this landmark production!
Does Muny still have free seats?
The Muny has approximately 10,800 stadium-style flip down seats. The last nine rows of the theatre (1,456 seats) are free. The rest are reserved seats that require a ticket.

It's tradition around here to enjoy a picnic before the show. Although we're proud to offer several on-site dining options, you're more than welcome to bring a basket of all your favorite snacks and drinks.
Can I bring a water bottle into The Muny?
Yes. Outside food and drinks are allowed at The Muny. You can also take in a soft-sided cooler, but it has to be able to fit under your seat. Hard-sided coolers, outside alcohol, aluminum cans and lawn chairs are only allowed in the preshow picnic area.
What if it rains at The Muny?
A refund will be issued to the purchaser on record with The Muny. A donation receipt reflecting the rain check value will be issued for tax purposes.
How do the free seats at The Muny work?
Snag the Free Seats That's why the last nine rows of The Muny (more than 1,400 seats!) are always free to the public. Come early, though! Free seats are claimed on a first come, first served basis. The gates open at 7:00 p.m. each evening in Lichtenstein Plaza.

General Parking The Muny upper lot is located just behind the Free Seats at the top of the theatre. The Muny lower lot is located across from the east side of the theatre. Additionally, a Forest Park Visitor Center lot is located on Cricket Drive, just across Pagoda Lake and the main entrance.
