The Defiance 50K, 30K & 15K is a scenic race that takes runners through the beautiful trails of Point Defiance, with over 700 acres of old growth forests and panoramic views of the Puget Sound. The course is approximately a 9.75 mi / 15.7 km loop through old growth forest.
When does Tacoma FC’s season start?
With a schedule designed to work alongside each club’s respective MLS team, Tacoma opens the season with two home matches on March 27 and April 2 against Real Monarchs at 12:00 p.m. PT and North Texas SC at 7:00 p.m. PT, respectively before heading to St. Louis to take on St. Louis City 2 on April 10 at 5:00 p.m. PT in its first road test.

Where to park at Point Defiance Marina?
We recommend parking parking near the Point Defiance Marina in the Overflow Boat Launch parking. There is easy access to stairs from waterfront to starting area just near the parking lot. You may also park at marina and take stairs to top. Please see map below…
Where is the aid station at Ft Nisqually?
An aid station is located at Ft Nisqually approximately 5.3 miles into the 10.3-mile loop. We recommend carrying one bottle of water. On the course, you will see sweeping views of the Puget Sound, run on soft trails beneath 500-year-old giant cedars and firs in one of the top 20 urban parks in the United States.

Can you change distances after signing up?
Can I switch race distances after I have signed up? Yes, you can switch distances at packet pick-up. There are no refunds. If you move up in distances please be prepared to pay the price difference. Pick up your packet first and then go to the registration table where the timer will reassign your bib number.
