What is the Patriot Express used for?
The Patriot Express is used for official travel—especially for those on permanent change of station moves to military assignments overseas. PE flights will often be a combination of those on leave, going to or from new duty locations, and those retiring or separating from military service.

TERMINATION OF COVID-19 TESTING AT BWI & SEATAC AMC TERMINALS
On-site COVID-19 testing services at BWI & SEA-TAC AMC Terminals are no longer available. Passengers requiring proof of a COVID-19 test MUST arrive at their departure terminal with this documentation at the time of check-in. Passengers arriving without proper documentation will be denied travel.
NEW SPECIAL ISSUANCE PASSPORT REQUIREMENT FOR GERMANY, JAPAN AND THE REPUBLIC OF KOREA
Eligible family members and DoD civilians on official travel to Germany, Japan and the Republic of Korea must have either a 1. Special Issuance Passport or, 2. As a temporary exception, a regular (blue tourist) passport and memorandum from a DoD passport agent stating the SIP application was submitted prior to departing from the point of origin.
