What is the NPC?
The National Physique Committee is the premier amateur physique organization in the world. Since 1982, the top athletes in bodybuilding, fitness, figure, bikini and physique have started their careers in the NPC.

How long does NPC National Qualification last?
Compete in an NPC National Qualifier. This qualifies the competitor for competition on the NPC national level for a period of one (1) full calendar year after the year that the qualification took place. Example: If a competitor enters an NPC contest in October 2021, they are qualified through December 31, 2022.
Can anyone compete in the NPC?
Register for a Show An NPC athlete of any age or experience may compete in the open class. The OPEN is the only class that qualfies you for OPEN NATIONAL CONTESTS. In order to compete in the Novice category, you must have never placed first in your class in a novice, masters or open contest.

How do I get an IFBB pro card?
In order to become an IFBB Pro, a bodybuilder must first earn their IFBB Pro Card. A bodybuilder looking to do this must first win a regional contest weight class. When a bodybuilder wins or places highly, they earn an invite to compete at their country's National Championships contest for that year.
Do NPC winners get paid?
Currently, there is no real cash-in hand prize money offered for NPC competitions.
How much does an NPC card cost?
Every competitor MUST be a current member of the The National Physique Committee (NPC). Membership cost is $125. You are required to show your NPC card during athlete check-ins. We recommend purchasing your membership online in advance.
What age is Masters for NPC?

Major competitions can have prize money for winners of between $250 (3rd in IFBB Valenti Gold Cup Pro Men's Physique), $2,000 (25th place in Mr Olympia) and $250,000+ (1st place in Mr Olympia). So clearly the prize money is low except for the best of the best.
