Currently, there is no real cash-in hand prize money offered for NPC competitions.
Can anyone compete in the NPC?
Amateurs can compete in any amateur NPC show. This would be every show on the NPC Northeast schedule except for NPC UNIVERSE (a pro qualifier) and the IFBB NY PRO (a pro contest). You can find the schedule and locations of NPC Northeast shows here. An NPC athlete of any age or experience may compete in the open class.
How long is NPC card good for?
Compete in an NPC National Qualifier. This qualifies the competitor for competition on the NPC national level for a period of one (1) full calendar year after the year that the qualification took place. Example: If a competitor enters an NPC contest in October 2021, they are qualified through December 31, 2022.

I'm an NPC judge and most of their natural shows are loosely drug tested. There are a few that have stringent drug testing. Most notably Dave Lieberman's Natural Northern USA. I have looked at the overall winners for the past decade and concluded that the drug testing is on point.

How much is a NPC membership?
To become a member athlete have to register at the website www.npcworldwide-register.com and pay annually membership fee 50-100 USD. As a competitor you must present your membership confirmation at the contest using your smart phone or tablet. Memberships will be checked prior to entering check-in's at every contest.
