The team joined the summer collegiate Futures Collegiate Baseball League in early May, just a few weeks before the start of the 2021 season. The Sea Unicorns, in conjunction with the Futures League, unveiled the 2022 schedule this week. The Sea Unicorns will start the season on Thursday, May 26 in New Britain in a game against the New Britain Bees.

Opening Night at Dodd Stadium will be Monday, May 30, Memorial Day, when the Sea Unicorns host New Britain for the second of 13 scheduled meetings between the in-state rivals. The home opener will begin at 6:30 p.m. and fireworks will follow the game.
