The season will be as follows:

  • January 1 – March 20: Waters open to fishing, with a 4 trout daily limit and a 9″ size minimum
  • March 21 – April 9 at 8:00 a.m.: Waters closed to trout fishing (* See Exceptions below)
  • April 9 at 8:00 a.m.: Opening day of trout season

All trout are raised at the Pequest Trout Hatchery. Stocking will begin will begin Tuesday, October 11, 2022, and continue throughout the following week. In addition to these trout, up to 1,000 broodstock trout (three-year old rainbow trout, averaging 18-22 inches) will also be stocked.
