In 2014, Gore took over the track after an eight year hiatus, which has been with the family since the late 1950s. The G.W. Fitzgerald family had been leasing the track from the owner, Gary Gore, for three years prior to that. The Fitzgeralds bought the Natural Bridge Speedway in 2013 and focused on that venture.
