What is music on Main Street?
Michael Arrowood, Event Coordinator for the Henderson County Tourism Development Authority, says Music on Main Street is an event the local community and summertime visitors really look forward to each year. “We start getting calls early in the spring, asking when the music will be held. It’s really a multigenerational event, very family-friendly. Bands mostly play rock oldies, beach music and soul from the ’50s through the ’80s—fun songs people love to dance to and that everyone knows. We’re bringing back many of the crowd’s favorite bands, along with some they haven’t seen in a few years.”
Where are the cars in the Visitor Center?
The car shows alternate between classic cars and Corvette nights. The cars are located in front of the Visitor Center, between Allen Street and Caswell Street , which will be closed to traffic.
