Can you be shirtless at MomoCon?
MomoCon is an all-ages event, and as such prohibits extremely revealing costumes and attire. A good rule of thumb is full-coverage bikini top + shorts for women and shorts and shirt for men. If men are cosplaying a shirtless character, we ask that they only remove their shirts for photos.

MomoCon is a 24 hour event, however sleeping in event rooms/space is never permitted.

Getting Started MomoCon began through Anime O-Tekku. Even now, its members and Georgia Tech alumni still comprise a good portion of the volunteer staff. These volunteers worked tireless to bring the first MomoCon to the public in 2005; they were greeted by 700+ eager attendees.

Jessica MerrimanJessica Merriman, founder and co-chairman of MomoCon. Fifteen years ago, then-college senior Jess Merriman parlayed the knowledge she had gained as a computer science major at Georgia Tech with an interest in gaming and animation to launch MomoCon.

Can you bring food into MomoCon?
Outside food isn't allowed. MomoCon has an easy reference guide for when things are open. Note that if you're planning late nights at the Gaming Hall, you'll need to get your badge during the more limited hours when registration is open.

Can I refund my MomoCon ticket?
MomoCon memberships are non-refundable, but you are able to use Eventeny to change the name and contact information on the membership, essentially allowing you to do a membership transfer.

How long do you have to sell a MOMcon ticket?
MOMcon tickets are fully refundable or transferable to the following year up to 60 days prior to the event. You can also sell/transfer your ticket to another mom at any time. See information regarding transferring a ticket.
Will MOMCON announce speakers?
We will announce new speakers, artists and workshop leaders and topics as we add them to our line-up. We cannot announce anyone until contracts have been signed. Make sure to follow us on social media and check for MOMcon emails to be the first to know when we announce speakers and artists at MOMcon.
Does MOMCON cover airfare?
Your MOMcon ticket allows you admittance into the entire conference – including gatherings, workshops, the marketplace and MOMcon Prom. Your MOMcon ticket does NOT cover your airfare, lodging, meals or souvenirs.
Can participants participate in MOMcon?
Notwithstanding the risk of infection, participants, by their presence at the MOMcon wish to voluntarily participate in this event.
Can you bring a baby to MOMcon?
We truly want this time to be a retreat for you but if you do need to bring your baby, MOMcon will have a private room where nursing moms can pump or nurse during posted hours of operation. The main gatherings will be streamed to the nursing moms room. Due to noise levels exceeding pediatrician recommended safety levels, infants are not allowed into the main gatherings even with headphones. Infants up to one year are permitted into the workshops. We do ask that moms with babies sit toward the back of the workshop room and be willing to exit if their child becomes distracting to the speaker and/or fellow attendees. Children older than one year and not nursing are not allowed at MOMcon.
