What is CommandFest?

A CommandFest is a full, weekend-long event of casual and competitive Commander play, with variants of Planechase, Brawl, Oathbreaker, Battlebond, Two-Headed Giant thrown into the mix. The weekend also features special guests, Quests, unique events, swag, and a chance to gather with Magic players from around the world.

Is Grand Prix MTG anymore?

As a consequence of the Coronavirus pandemic all Grand Prix of the 2020 Players Tour Season were cancelled and MagicFest Online was created. It is unclear if and how tabletop Grand Prix will return. In November 2021, ChannelFireball organized the first large event after the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in Las Vegas.

Side events, which take place all weekend concurrent with the main event, are run with any of these formats, plus a plethora of serious, casual, and even some wholly unique formats .

Can you transfer byes to other players?

Byes may not be passed down to other players for any reason and are not transferable. Byes may not be deferred from one Grand Prix to another and must be earned each time. Players that accumulate multiple byes to a Grand Prix are awarded only the bye for the greatest number of rounds.
