The Animal Learning Center houses beef cattle, dairy cattle, swine, sheep, meat goats, chicken, turkeys, ducks and ostriches. In 2017, 5 lambs, 13 calves, 33 goats, 101 piglets and 172 chicks were born in the Paul R. Knapp Animal Learning Center during the Iowa State Fair.
