Installation Integrated Protection Exercise (IPE) : Fort Stewart (FS) - Hunter Army Airfield (HAAF) will practice its emergency response capabilities with an unannounced exercise at some point during the week of Dec. 6 - 10. The exercise will be conducted simultaneously on both FS and HAAF and involve moving concrete barriers to specific locations. The exercise, by design, will generate some minor delays at select Access Control Points (ACP’s) but this will not impact medical, dental and school appointments. Leaving a little early for these appointments is recommended, so please plan accordingly. Execution of the exercise will require the response of Emergency vehicles and you may hear the Installation Big Voice activated stating Exercise, Exercise, Exercise. Motorists should remain alert and traverse the roadways with caution during this time, should you arrive at a location with Law Enforcement directing traffic, please take directions from these professionals. Do not be alarmed, we are practicing to ensure the installation is prepared to protect and respond appropriately in order to preserve life and property in emergencies to address real-world contingencies.
