Where did the Chillicothe rodeo move to?
The Easyriders Rodeo Tour is the original biker campout from Easyriders. We have moved from our famous Chillicothe location to our new location at Cole Farms in Bloomville, Ohio. This will still be the Grand Daddy of the Easyriders Rodeo Tour!
What is a biker rodeo?
A Bike Rodeo is a fun, active event for elementary students to learn biking and safety skills in a safe and comfortable environment. Safe Routes to School staff sets up various agility courses on school grounds for students to practice important skills necessary to ride a bike safely and confidently.
What happens at a bike rodeo?
A bike rodeo is an obstacle course designed to help kids learn bike safety skills. You will need a large, flat space (e.g. a parking lot or tennis court) where you can set up different station to test maneuvering skills such as stop/starting, turning, balancing, etc.
How do you run a rodeo bike?
Set up a course that is often referred to as the “Rock Dodge.” Use chalk or masking tape to create a narrow lane for bicyclists to remain in. Then, use soft sponges to serve as “obstacles” for children to avoid. Tell the riders to travel straight toward the “obstacles” and steer around them at the last minute.
