What's new at Downtown Alive 2022?
Downtown Alive Thursdays are free to attend, and this year’s season runs now through August 25, 2022. Also returning this year is the Gimme the Gig contest, in which local bands vie for the chance to perform at the season finale of Downtown Alive on Aug. 25, 2022.
What time does downtown alive start?
The event serves as the single largest fundraiser for the Metropolitan Arts Council. Piedmont Natural Gas Downtown Alive opens at 5:30 p.m. and closes at 8:30 p.m. Bands play two sets at 5:50 p.m. and 7:20 p.m. on the Carolina Foothills Credit Union Stage. LET'S BE SOCIAL!
What is Downtown Alive Lafayette?
For over three decades, Downtown Alive! (affectionately known as DTA!) has been bringing the party to Downtown Lafayette. What began as a small Friday night street party has evolved into an exciting large-scale concert series attended by thousands of concert-goers.
Getting to Lafayette
The city of Lafayette, LA is located in the center of Lafayette Parish at the intersection of I-10 and I-49 between New Orleans and Houston and only 35 miles north of the Gulf of Mexico. The eight parishes that comprise the area are Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, and Vermilion.
