Does Cunard still have formal nights?
Cunard do have formal nights that they call Gala nights. It depends on the length of the cruise as to how many there will be. On a four night cruise you can expect one which in our experience on the Queen Elizabeth Cruise Ship was the Black and White Gala night.
How formal is Cunard Queen Elizabeth?
What is the dress code like on Queen Elizabeth? Queen Elizabeth offers a more formal experience than many cruise liners. During the day the ship offers a casual atmosphere, where shorts and t-shirts, jeans and polo shirts are the norm. If you're heading up on deck for a swim, bathers and board-shorts are fine.
How much do you tip on Cunard?
$11.50 per personCunard Line Cunard charges gratuities of $11.50 per person, per day to passenger accounts in Britannia accommodations. That amount is $13.50 for passengers in Grill Class accommodations. Cunard's gratuities apply to both adults and children.

Men wear suits or tuxedos, or trousers with a dinner jacket. Ties and jackets are required. Women wear gowns or formal pants suits. Cunard does offer menswear rentals onboard, if you elect not to pack a full suit or tux.

On a Cunard cruise, you can opt to remove or adjust the daily gratuities (hotel and dining service charge). This can be done at the Guest Services desk once you're on board the ship. It is good to know that Cunard do allow alcohol to be taken on board. Each person can take one bottle of wine or champagne that can be consumed in your cabin free of charge. However, if you want to drink it in one of the bars or restaurants then you will be charged with a $25 corkage fee.

Dining aboard Cunard ships is by class and dining-room assignments are made in accordance with the booked accommodation category. You can get as much luxury as you wish to pay for on Cunard liners. Passengers in ships' Junior suites are assigned to single-seating Princess Grill. Queen's Grill serves those booked in duplex apartments and the most lavish suites. The rest of the passengers are assigned to seating in the multideck Britannia Restaurant or Britannia Club Restaurant on QE.

The Queens were replaced by QE2 (Queen Elizabeth 2), which was designed for her special dual role.
How long can you cancel a Cunard flight?
Cunard introduced an expanded cancellation policy. All bookings were given the option to cancel up to 48 hours (prior departure) without penalties.
How much weight can you carry on a Cunard cruise?
Cunard ships don't have baggage limits (as a number of bags). However, there is a weight limit per bag. Individual bags must not exceed 23 kg (51 pounds). Upon boarding, bags are taken at the cruise terminal and delivered to staterooms. Upon debarkation, they are transferred ashore.

How many nights do you wear black tie on a TA?
I may have mentioned it elsewhere, but we are staunch traditionalist and wear black tie 5 of 7 nights on a TA regardless. On the unofficial black tie nights, I get a bit more creative with my tie and cummerbund.
Is QM2 a work in progress?
This is very much a work-in-progress with many gaps in these schedules. I have filled in some gaps for QM2 under the assumption all seven-night transatlantic crossings will adhere to a standard schedule as they have in the past.

When are you sailing? It will be on your Voyage Personaliser approximately 4 months before you sail.

As Hattie has posted ,you'll find more information 'nearer the date of your travel', you find this in your voyage personaliser. On a QM2 crossing of seven days you can certainly expect 'Three Formal Evenings' , no less and no more.

On a TransAtlanic There will be three formal nights the first on will be at the end of the second sea day, The next one will be either the next night, or the night after that. The final one will be the night before the final sea day.

As you can see from the document Host Hattie posted, the dress code and theme evenings have followed a standard formula this year on all transatlantic crossings. Gala Evenings (Formal) are on nights 2, 4, and 6.

Thank you so much for this fabulous information. This is exactly what I was hoping to find. One more question . I understand what to expect for a Roaring 20s theme (and I have the perfect black sequin "shimmy dress,") but I don't know what to expect for a Royal Cunard Ball.
