What is the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP)?
Registration is now open for the Civilian Marksmanship Program’s (CMP) series of Garand, Springfield, Vintage and Modern Military (GSMM) rifle matches – set at Ohio’s historic Camp Perry National Guard Training Facility in 2022. These matches will be held at Camp Perry’s Petrarca Range using CMP’s innovative electronic target system.
Where can you hunt at Camp Perry in 2022?
The host range for these events is Camp Perry’s outdoor Viale Range, on June 25-26, 2022. The matches are ideal for those in the hunt for a Distinguished Rifleman Badge.

How long does it take to get a rifle from CMP?
30-45 daysFor most items, allow 30-45 days from order to delivery. Some model rifles are relatively rare and will take longer. Estimated shipping times for those rifles are listed on the applicable rifle pages. To avoid delays, please ensure that all required documents are provided with order.
How many rifles can you buy from CMP?
Purchase of M1 Garand rifles is limited to eight (8) per customer per calendar year – regardless of grades purchased. Any serial numbered item concerning M1 Garands counts towards your 8 M1 Garand limit per calendar year. The CMP occasionally also conducts other special sales programs as assets become available.
Can you buy ammo from CMP?
We currently use this same round in CMP events with excellent results. Our ammunition can be purchased on our E-Store, mail order, or over the counter in our stores.
How many garands has CMP sold?
Based on Congress' report on CMP, CMP sold about 30,000 Garands every years. When CMP started to sell this batch of Garand in 2018, they have 100,000 Garands from Philippines and Turkey. By normal rate, CMP will run out this batch in 2021.
How much does an M1 Garand from the CMP cost?

When is the rifle camp phase 2021?
Pistol Phase – April 8, 2021. Small Bore, Rimfire & Jr Rifle Camp Phase – April 8, 2021. Rifle & Long Range Phase – April 15, 2021. You must know your arrival and departure dates when you call. A non-refundable deposit will be charged to your credit card at the time of reservation.
When do you have to submit a reservation for a 2021 national match?
A single individual (Point of Contact – POC) must submit a 2021 National Match Team Reservation Form from the website www.cplcc.com under the “National Match Info” link beginning at 8:00 a.m. EST on March 18, 2021 FOR JUNIORS and 8:00 a.m. EST March 25, 2021 FOR ADULTS. Walk-ins or phone requests will not be accepted.
Where to rent military barracks for National Match 2021?
Military teams must contact the Camp Perry Logistics Office and complete the necessary forms renting military barracks for National Match 2021 lodging. Military teams who wish to request hut lodging may submit a team registration form (see the Team Reservation Info above). Do not submit a Team Reservation Request if you have already submitted a request for barracks through the Camp Perry Logistics Office.
Where are the National Matches held?
The National Matches, considered America’s “World Series of the Shooting Sports”, have been a tradition at Camp Perry , Ohio since 1907. Each summer, the nation’s finest civilian and military marksmen and women square off for five weeks of rifle and handgun competition in a variety of formats and events.
Does Camp Perry send email acknowledgement?
After receiving the Wounded Warrior lodging request, Camp Perry Lodging staff will promptly send an email acknowledgement to the POC.
Can you walk in for a CMP match?
Walk-ins or phone requests will not be accepted. Teams must be able to provide proof of being a CMP affiliated club or State Association. Each organization or club may submit one junior and one adult team request for each of the National Match Phases.

Dates for the 2022 Camp Perry Rifle Matches at Petrarca Range currently include
Petrarca Range will open for public use starting March 14, 2022. Every Monday, guests may use Petrarca during the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., March through May and September through November. During the summer months (June through August), Petrarca is open from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.
