When will financial responsibility statements be available at UT Austin?

Beginning in fall 2021, all students will sign a Financial Responsibility Statement before registering for classes. The goal of the Statement is to be transparent and help you fully understand your role and financial obligation when attending UT Austin. By signing, you acknowledge your responsibility to pay tuition and fees by the payment due date and if you receive financial aid and scholarships, those resources will apply to your tuition. What is synchronous class?

Synchronous classes are scheduled similarly to in-person classes, with set meeting times that students will need to take part in. Asynchronous coursework offers students given deadlines to complete work. Classes that cannot be conducted in some sort of online format — such as career training labs, science labs, activity classes in athletics and the arts — will be scheduled on campus, as so noted with a classroom assignment. All on campus classes follow on campus health and safety guidelines as set by the state of California.

What are fully on campus classes?

These courses include art and dance activity classes, physical education activity classes, a variety of general education and classes in English for non-native speakers.

What is hybrid on campus?

Hybrid On-campus (includes on-campus and asynchronous online coursework)-- (some course work on campus and some online – these courses are often in health sciences, technology, and other essential labs)

Is OCC online class in person?

All on campus classes follow on campus health and safety guidelines as set by the state of California. OCC ONLINE: This class is fully online and does not require in-person synchronously scheduled time. Students must email the instructor by Wednesday of the first week of class.

What classes will be offered in Fall 2021?

Most lab sections are scheduled on-campus for the fall semester. This includes classes in engineering, nursing, art, automotive technology, paralegal, and hospitality management.

What is a late start class?

Late Starting Classes: Courses that start after the official start of the semester. You may register for late-starting classes up until the day before the class begins.

What is remote course?

Remote courses are scheduled on specific days and at specific times. Students meet as a class remotely through Zoom or Blackboard Collaborate; instructors will tell students which software to use. Students complete reading and assignments according to the course schedule.

What is weekend class?

Weekend Classes: Courses that meet only on the weekends.

How to register for classes at MyMC?

Once you have your courses selected, log in to MyMC. Click on the "Registration" tab then choose the icon that says "Register for Classes." Online registration is available until the day before the class begins.

How many weeks are there in a fall semester?
