What is the Chicago Water Taxi service?
Starting in May and running through September, our water taxi service offers fast and fun routes to Chicago’s top attractions. This route connects Navy Pier Dock Street with Museum Campus (Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum and Adler Planetarium). The river route serves Navy Pier Polk Bros Park, Michigan Avenue, and Willis (Sears) Tower/Union Station.

Chicago Water Taxi 7 stops: Michigan Avenue stop is located between Trump International Hotel & Tower and the Wrigley Building at the south end of The Magnificent Mile on Michigan Avenue. LaSalle and Clark (North side of River) No weekend service.

The taxi will make four stops this season: in Chinatown; at Madison Street between Ogilvie Transportation Center and Chicago Union Station, which are large Metra commuter terminals; along the Riverwalk between Clark and LaSalle streets; and at Michigan Avenue.

Easy way to get to Chinatown, its about a 20 min trip, website has schedule. You'll have about 5-10 walk through a small park and nice neighborhood before you get to Chinatown shops and restaurants.

Can you bring food on a riverboat?
These are short trips 5-15 minutes and to my knowledge they don’t sell snacks. You can bring food on the boat. There’s a stop on the riverwalk by the River Theater which is near food vendors.
