How long does it take for an ACH payment to be processed?
There is no processing fees associated with ACH payments. You will need your Bank Routing Number and Bank Account Number. It takes seven days for ACH payments to be processed by our bank processor.
What is the processing fee for a debit card?
Credit and debit card payments: For credit or debit card payments, a processing fee of 2.5 percent will be added to all charges. If your credit or debit card transaction is denied, you will not be able to submit your application until you provide another Mastercard, Visa, American Express, or Discover card.

When will the 2022 bar exam be released?
Results from the February 2022 Bar Exam are scheduled to be released electronically through the Applicant Portal to applicants after 6:00 p.m. on May 6, 2022. At 6:00 p.m. on the day results are posted, applicants can also access the pass list on the State Bar website.
When will the California Rules of Professional Conduct be amended?
The new rules, in effect as of November 1, 2018 , were amended by the California Supreme Court effective March 22, 2021.
Is the California Bar exam in person?
Please note that the February 2022 California Bar Examination will be held as an in-person examination. Applicants will be required to select a testing location when they apply in the Applicant Portal .

Who is responsible for grading the California bar exam?
Under the supervision of the Supreme Court of California, the State Bar's Committee of Bar Examiners is responsible for developing, administering, and grading the California Bar Exam and the First-Year Law Students' Exam.
How many questions are asked in the first year of law school?
It consists of four one-hour essay questions and 100 multiple-choice questions. The exam covers three subjects: Contracts, Criminal Law, and Torts. More than 700 applicants take the exam each year. Applicants can take the exam if they have completed one year of law study.
What are testing accommodations?
Testing accommodations are available to individuals with mental or physical disabilities. Depending on the nature of the disability, accommodations may include such things as readers or personal healthcare assistants, wheelchair access, permission to dictate to a typist or digital recorder, customized timing, separate testing room, customized exam materials (Braille, large print, etc.), extended testing days, and permission to bring and use specific items or medical aids.
1. Applicant-Only Search
Results from the July 2021 California Bar Examination will be available on the Admissions Applicant Portal on Friday, November 12, 2021. Applicants will be able to access the pass list that evening, beginning at 6:00 p.m. (PST) using their applicant number and file number.
2. Public Search
The pass list will be available to the public beginning Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 6:00 a.m. (PST). Although every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of this list, all who took the examination must rely on the official notification from the Office of Admissions of the State Bar of California.
