The switching of the 1 1/4 mile JCGC to Saratoga and replacing it as the east coast Classic prep with the Woodward is going to help both races, in my opinion. The JCGC is the only classic distance race at Saratoga and with a million dollar purse should get better fields than it got recently at Belmont and the Woodward should be a more popular Breeders Cup prep with better fields at the shorter distance. I think it is a great move by the NYRA.
