The Baldwin County Board of Education approved the 2022-23 Baldwin County Public Schools Calendar on February 17, 2022. The first day of school is Wednesday, August 10, 2022 and the last day of school is Wednesday, May 24, 2023.

Customer Service: Residents with questions can contact Waste Management at 800-866-4460, or online at www.wm.com. In the event of inclement weather, visit www.wm.com/alerts for service updates, delays and cancellations.
When is trash pickup delayed?
Thanksgiving. Christmas Day. If one of these holidays falls on a Friday, trash collection will be delayed to Saturday. If the holiday should fall on the weekend, your pickup day will NOT be affected. Collection Schedule: Garbage will be collected once every week on FRIDAY.
Does Baldwin Township have recycling?
Recycling: Baldwin Township does not participate in residential, curbside recycling. Instead, the Township provides 2 recycling dumpsters in the parking lot of the administration building. These dumpsters are free for residents to use.
Can you dry paint cans?
Empty paint cans and/or dried paint is acceptable. Paint can be dried by air drying or soaking up with newspaper or kitty litter. Lids should be left off. Construction debris not to exceed a maximum weight of 50 pounds and must fit into a 40-gallon container with the lid shut.
What day is trash pickup in Tawas Lake?
Refuse services are provided on Monday (residents north of Tawas Lake) and Wednesday (residents south of Tawas Lake). For more information on which day your refuse is collected please contact Waste Management at 989.362.9562.
How many large items can you put in the curb?

When do you have to pick up your cart at the curb?
To ensure pick-up, have your carts at the curb by 6:00am or no earlier than 4:00pm the night before your collection day.
Where to drop off yard waste?
If you have yard waste to dispose of at other times of the year, please drop it off at the Yard Waste Dumpster in the Public Works yard on Elm Leaf Drive M-F between 7am-3:30pm.
How often is recycling picked up in the borough?
Recycling is picked up once every other week. It cannot be in plastic bags. The Borough purchased recycling bins for every house in the Borough in 2020. These bins are coded to each specific property. If your property no longer has a bin, please contact the Borough.
