What time should I go to Anime Expo?
My suggestion is 2 hours before the event starts, minimum. If you're willing to wait longer, get there sooner. The staff is there to help, but remember that a lot of them are volunteers and might not know everything there is to know about AX on the spot.

What should I wear to Anime Expo?
If you are not cosplaying, you should make sure you are wearing comfortable clothes and walking shoes, as you will likely be on your feet most of the day. The convention may be hot once you are inside the venue, so you may want to dress in layers to stay comfortable.
Can you bring water bottles Anime Expo?
Attendees are permitted to bring in food and beverage for personal consumption only. This means only food and drink that you would be able to consume individually. Food and drink brought in bulk will not be permitted into the convention center. Refillable water bottles will be allowed — in fact, we encourage them!
Is there alcohol at Anime Expo?
It features a selection of Japanese beer and whiskey brands, as well as Japanese foods. Cocktails will also be available at the Beer Garden. Be sure to visit to see the menu! The Beer Garden will be located outside of West Hall, on the Pico Blvd side at the top of the stairs.

Organizers have announced that all badges of all tiers for Anime Expo 2022 have sold out. Anime Expo has officially confirmed that all badges have sold out. This includes the 4-Day general attendee along with the single-day passes.

The location is the most obvious expense, and usually one of the biggest. Taking over the entire ballroom and meeting room section of a large hotel, as smaller conventions do, isn't cheap. Taking over a huge municipal convention center, like the larger ones do, costs an absolute fortune.
Can you buy Anime Expo tickets at the door?
Some events during Anime Expo may also require a ticket, in addition to a badge. You can buy your tickets online ahead of time or you can purchase them onsite at the Ticketing Booth, based on availability.
