How many lightings are in the 2022 WaterFire season?
We are proud to announce the 2022 WaterFire season which currently includes seven (7) full lightings and six (6) partial lightings. From April to December, supporters can expect to see the return of the #Art4Impact series which aims to highlight community milestones and themes like Arts and Science, Community Heroes, and Arts and Health.

WaterFire Providence is pleased to announce that it will kick off its 2022 WaterFire event season with a special pre-season Basin Lighting supported by the Gordon School on Saturday, April 9, 2020, and our Strike the Match fundraiser and Basin Lighting on Wednesday, April 27, 2022.
When will the Waterfire schedule be released?
As New Englanders, something that stands out to us is the annual WaterFire tradition in Providence, Rhode Island. This year’s WaterFire schedule is yet to be released, but programmers have been building up the release of the schedule and are planning to announce it next Wednesday, April 27th.
What will happen at the Waterfire event?
The event will include a press conference featuring community stakeholders, the WaterFire creator, the executive artistic director, and coCEO Barnaby Evans. This is also where they will announce the full WaterFire schedule for 2022.

Where to eat on the waterfire route in Providence?
Thinking about dining at a restaurant along the WaterFire route during the event? Cafe Nuovo, The Capital Grille, Hemenway's and Jacky's Waterplace all have great river views. Be sure to make your reservations at least one week in advance, as tables with a view fill up quickly. When is Waterfire 2021?
WaterFire KC - October 2nd, 2021. "WaterFire is considered one of the most moving and dramatic expressions of public art in the U.S.". (Barnaby Evans, artist) Every October, Brush Creek serves as a stage for this visual arts installation that is enhanced by music and dance to create a shared experience for the thousands that attend.
Where are fire lightings held?
Kansas City is one of three locations to hold annual fire lightings, others include Providence, RI, and Sharon, PA, with special events held in multiple international locations.
